J. Smith. The show follows the life of Elena Gilbert played by the actress Nina Dobrev (The Border, Chloe, Degrassi Goes to Hollywood), who got a romantic relationship with a vampire named Stefan Salvatore played by Paul Wesley (Beneath the Blue, Elsewhere), and soon finds herself caught in a love triangle between Stefan and his older brother, Damon played by Ian Somerhalder (Pulse, Wake, The Tournament) while the brothers are also being haunted by the past they have had with Katherine Pierce which is also played by Nina Dobrev. The series also focuses on the lives of Elena’s friends and other inhabitants of the fictional town of Mystic Falls in Virginia. As of today, 9/2011, there are three seasons for this show, each with 22 episodes. First episode of The Vampire Diaries premiered on September 10, 2009.

This season is really amazing and the vampires are so cute, specially Damon! - Anonymous Wow! It seems like vampire shows are the ones hitting the top spot when it comes to TV shows and movies! This is what I including my battalion of vampire lovers want! But hey! The one’s that actually got our attention was the love story between Bella and Edward not to forget Jacob here who’s a part man part wolf! Their love story is just amazing! You can really feel the love and the boldness of them wanting to be together! But this time, it’ll be something more! But right now, let’s just forget for a while and concentrate with this another interesting show called Vampire Diaries which is actually being compared with it! That honestly got my attention! When I saw the show, I was literally drawn immediately! I mean, it was just like Twilight but in a whole different league! The characters we’re ok! But the one thing you’ll never forget, it’s that thrilling feeling it gives after every episode of the show! It’s great! I definitely approve it! - Ella
